The name of the city-Tbilisi is based on the legend of the king Vakhtang Gorgasali IV century. The word “tbili” means“warm”. Today, the king’s sculpture looks from the Metekhi plateau to the famous sulfur baths, in the heart of Old Tbilisi.The main sights of the city, Typical Tbilisi houses with balconies, Narikala fortress , Anchiskhati church (6th century),Holy Trinity Cathedral, Catholic and Gregorian churches, Muslim Mosque, Synagogue, Ateshga - temple of pagans arelocated in this area.
