About The Event
Tour begins with pick-up from your hotel. The main destination town of Martvili is located to the west of Kutaisi City. Alongside the road, you can see charming villages with beautiful alleys and yards.After 2 hours of driving from kutaisi city, you will enter the Canyon's visitor center. Travelers are offered of a boat trip through a Canyon and a pass to the amazing waterfalls. The colors of the canyon are amazing, as the light intensity changes regularly while passing a gorge. After 1.5 hours of sightseeing, the group will head to Martvili Monastery. It sits upon the highest hill in the area, and offers spectacular views.
Salkhino is a village in Martvili region. It is situated on the north-east slopes of Kvibia Mountains from the left bank of the Tekhura River. The summer residence of Dadiani in the village Salkhino is truly distinguished. The palace was constructed, on a site originally occupied by a modest royal residence in the village of Salkhino near the Martvili Church, during the reign of David Dadiani’s father Levan V Dadiani
Our next stop is at winery Obene where you can taste most unique wines of region. After that you will stay in Guesthouse in village Mukhuri. At the morning you will have traditional breakfast with tasty food of the region and then continue the trip to waterfall and Sherubumi cave.
Next you will see The Enguri Dam which is a hydroelectric dam on the Enguri river in Georgia. Currently it is the world's second highest concrete Arch dam It is located north of the town Jvari. It is part of the Enguri hydroelectric power station (HES) which is partially located in Abkhazia.
Then to the Dadiani Palaces Historical and Architectural Museum in Zugdidi, West Georgia, Samegrelo region, which was established in 1921 and contains 41000 items. The museum complex includes: palaces of the Samegrelo queen Ekaterine Chavchavadze-Dadiani and Prince Niko Dadiani, court church, and the botanic garden. . It was built in the late 19th century by the prince of Samegrelo David Dadiani, near his residence. The garden now has over eighty genus of exotic plants introduced from southeast Asia, India, Japan, Mediterranean and the Americas. In 1850 Prince David Dadiani organized museum in the palace and displayed unique numismatic materials from the present day village Nokalakevi, the antique period town and Dadiani family collections of medieval European armor and weapons, ethnographic objects and fine art.
